A Long Time Ago in A Galaxy Far Far Away………

Well, not so far away as it turns out! The much-anticipated Star Wars stamp issue will be with us in less than a month!

That legendary line which introduced the world to Star Wars, set the scene for one of the best-loved movies of all time. These simple yet instantly recognisable words signalled the beginning of a worldwide phenomenon the like of which had never been seen before. For many fans, Star Wars was to become their favourite film of all time, for others the film was to be more of an obsession. Even those with no interest in the story will recognise the iconic characters.

Those characters, together with the British contribution to the movies, are to be celebrated in a new stamp issue from Royal Mail. This is sure to be one of the most popular sets of stamps ever conceived! Featuring the exceptional work of much admired British artist, Malcolm Tween, the stamps and many other exciting products will be issued 12 October 2017.
